Minneola Place COVID-19 Update

Thanks to the efforts for the Lake County Florida Department of Health, and the Minneola Fire Department, over 90% of the residents and staff at Minneola Place, a HomeBridge Community Assisted Living Facility have been vaccinated against COVID-19 with either the Pfizer 2-Dose Vaccine or the Moderna 2-Dose Vaccine.

The administration of Minneola Place will continue its work in ensuring the health, safety and welfare for all of its resident care staff and wonderful residents.

New Visitation Guidelines

As our vaccination efforts continue uninterrupted, Minneola Place will be implementing new visitation guidelines for the community:

Appointments for Visitation:

All visits to the community will continue to be by appointment only until further notice. Personal visits by friends and family (except in end-of-life or compassionate care situations) will be limited to 6 total appointments per day for the facility. You must call 352-394-6619 to schedule an appointment.

Appointments by legal representatives, court appointed guardians, healthcare providers of the residents' choosing, or mental health providers will not be subject to this limitation.

Screening of Visitors:

All visitors will be required to submit to a symptom screening and temperature screening prior to entry. Visitors will also be subject to a COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test, except those persons who: (1) have received the entire course of the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccine more than 14 days prior to the visit OR (2) have the results of a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test within 48 hours of their visit.

Visitation Area:

Visitors will be limited to designated visitor areas only until further notice.

Masking and Social Distancing:

Masks will continue to be required to worn by visitors at all times until further notice. We know it's difficult, but we continue to require visitors not to physically embrace residents until further notice.

Outside Appointments or Personal Trips with Family:

We continue to advise that residents leave the facility for essential medical services only.

Residents will not be permitted to re-enter the facility after leaving for other reasons without a 10-day isolation and quarantine, even if the resident has been vaccinated.

Questions?

We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone, especially many of our residents who have not been able to see their family and friends normally over the past year. Thankfully, community vaccination efforts continue to accelerate, and hopefully over the coming days we can re-examine some of these safety policies. In the meantime, please understand that we are making every effort to accommodate the social needs of all our residents, while still prioritizing their health, safety and welfare.

If you have questions, please speak to our Facility Administrator at 352-394-6619 or email our management team at administration@homebridgegroup.com.
